These images show a brick floor that we restored recently in Newmarket. When we arrived to complete an in-depth survey we realised that the stone floor was very dirty and the stone sealer had broken down.

We are often asked for advice on stone sealers; it may be that a client feels as though their stone flooring is not adequately sealed and so staining and marking is much more likely.

It is vitally important to the longevity of any stone floor that it is appropriately sealed. Without this, the stone will deteriorate at a quicker rate and likely damage will be unavoidable.

An impregnating sealer works to penetrate the stone tile and offer increased protection against staining, marking, general wear and tear and water damage. Re-application of a stone sealer is required and this forms part of our on-going maintenance programme that we offer to all of our clients.

The tile is not water proof and any liquid left to sit on a tile for a prolonged time will inevitably penetrate it and leave a stain.

The images show how our state-of-the-art stone cleaning process stripped back the dirt and deep cleaned the floor tiles. Even at this stage, our client was extremely amazed at the transformation that had been achieved.
We then applied the Matt impregnating sealer and this provided an exceptional finish and ensured that our clients were able to enjoy the natural and true beauty of their floor once again.
